MUV Brands Announces Franchise Division

MUV Brands, a multi-concept gym operator, announces the launch of its franchise division. Joel Tallman, CEO/President, announced plans for a multiple concept franchise offering to launch in October. To head the franchise division, Tallman announced the hiring of Marcus Salim. In his role as Vice President of Franchising, Salim will oversee the franchise efforts. “Marcus brings a unique combination of experience in health club operations and franchise development experience,” Tallman said. Salim was most recently National Franchise Director for Fantastic Sam’s, a full service salon franchise with over 1100 units. Prior to joining the franchise company, Salim was in club operations and management for over 15 years at Bally Total Fitness and others. Salim remarked, “I am really excited to bring multiple concepts to the market place. This will allow the developer to provide a wide variety of fitness offerings in their markets.” MUV Brands Franchising LLC will offer multiple concepts to the fitness entrepreneur. One offering is a unique boutique concept, MUV Training, which includes a proprietary high intensity functional strength component supported by heart rate training. MUV Training facilities also can include MUV Barre, a proprietary barre offering, and MUV Cycle. The second franchise concept is MUV Fitness. MUV Fitness includes full service health clubs that are driven by results-driven systems. These clubs offer a wide variety of amenities including pools, basketball, turf functional training, child watch and many other amenities. “Our partners are long-term operators with a track record of success,” said Tallman. “We are health club people dedicated to helping others become successful.” The franchise division launch is the next step in a multi-faceted growth strategy for the company. Along with franchising, MUV is on a growth plan for corporately owned facilities. “Club operations is what we do. Franchising is a way for us to share proven methods with others who want to grow in the fitness industry. We merely teach what we are doing every day in our own facilities,” commented Tallman. When asked about plans to expand into international markets, Tallman indicated that there was a strong desire to develop partners around the globe. MUV recently announced a new corporate facility in Portland, OR which would open in 2018. MUV brands currently has 22 locations corporately, both owned and affiliates, combining rebranded and newly constructed gyms. MUV Brands clubs operate in WA, OR, ID, MT, CO and SC.
