“For me it is unbelievable to think that I have not only run a 5k, I have run 9 of them. I am running with a group for fun and will begin training for my first half marathon that I am running in May. I have made a magical transformation from fat to thin to strong. At 313 pounds who would have ever thought I would be in a commercial for a gym, or that I was going to be a featured runner for the Windermere Half Marathon. I have learned so much from being a part of MUV and these challenges. I feel the most important is that I used to think of weight loss as a destination, once I lost all the weight then I would be where I was and that would be it. This isn’t a destination for me, it’s a journey. My body is always changing and if I want to continue to be strong and healthy I have to continue on this journey.”
